Color therapy, also known as chromotherapy is a vibrational healing modality.
Color is a form of visible light and electromagnetic energy. All the primary colors reflected in the rainbow carry their own unique healing properties.
A therapist trained in color therapy applies light and color in the form of tools, visualization, or verbal suggestion to balance energy in the areas of our bodies that are lacking vibrance, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.
These colors also apply to the energy centers of our bodies known as chakras
Colors can help balance and align your chakra centers located in the auric level of your body that correspond to different emotions, and parts of the body.
Colors consist of three elements
Primary colors which are your Reds, Greens and Blues
Secondary colors are: colors made by mixing two primary colors together
Tertiary colors are: combinations of primary and secondary colors
Subtractive colors
Cyan, Magenta and Yellow

Chakras and Colors
Chakra is a Sanskrit term meaning circle or wheel. It is the activity center of your body that receives and expresses life force energy. (otherwise known as Chi, Kundalini, Aura). The chakra is a spinning sphere of energetic activity emanating from the nerve branches of the spinal column. These six wheels are stacked in a column that spans from the base of the spine known as the root chakra to the third eye chakra middle of your forehead. The crown chakra which is the top of your head is the seventh area associated with the All.
1st Chakra: Area of the body: organs of elimination. Governs Acceptance,
Sexuality, Grounding. Element of Earth- Color is Red
2nd Chakra: Area of the body: The Sexual Organs. Governs Creativity,
Intelligence. Element of Water -Color is Orange
3rd Chakra: Area of the body: Naval Center. Governs Emotions, Anger,
Nervous energy, Commitment. Element of Fire -Color Yellow
4th Chakra: Area of the body: Heart Center. Governs Love, Fear, Compassion
Element of Air -Color Green
5th Chakra: Area of the body: Throat- Governs Truth, Communication
Element of Ether- Color Blue
6th Chakra: Area of the body: Third Eye- Governs Intuition, Spiritual Self
